THE POWER OF LOVE MABEL!
Not an evil Ford, he's just a massive jerk. To everyone, except (ironically) his own version of Stan.
People didn't exclude him while he was growing up because of his six fingers, but because he was an absolute dick all of the time.
The only reason their high school wanted to send Ford to that fancy college was to send him away and make it way less likely he would ever come back to Jersey.
Stan still breaks his Perpetual Motion Machine, but this version of Ford chooses to believe him when he says it was an accident, and stands up for him when Filbrick tries to kick Stan out.
He still goes to Backupsmore, this time with Stan (who graduated) in tow, and the only reason he and Fiddleford are 'friends' is because Ford still mathematically proved Fiddlefords theory on the Universe being a Hologram, but he rubs it in Fiddlefords face for not proving it on his own.
Backupsmore University only gives Ford the research grant in hope he'll leave and never come back.
The only reason he takes a deal with Bill is because he's going to build that portal, only to never activate it as a 'psych!' on Bill. He doesn't even care he's creating something that would revolutionize science as they know it, he just wants to troll a 'God'.
Stan has to convince (i.e actually beg) Fiddleford to help Ford.
Fiddleford doesn't even accidentally get his head sucked into the portal this time, he leaves because he could only stand Ford for so long before being done (he kept peeling the stickers off the Cubiks Cubes and putting them on different squares so Fiddleford couldn't solve them).
This time Ford goes through the portal, and it breaks, because he accidentally fell asleep in the portal room and got possessed by Bill who tried opening the portal, but Stan had to fight him to stop him, only to accidentally shove Bill!Ford into the portal.
Since Stan and Ford were known to be two separate people the whole time, and Stan just reported Ford as 'Missing' and he never took his identity, the townsfolk assumed he'd actually murdered Ford, but they never question it because they're just so glad that he's gone. They had a celebration and everything. Stan was the only one in town who didn't go.
Jerk Ford goes out into the multiverse and every single other Ford, even the evil ones, absolutely hate this guy because no one can push their buttons better than, well, themself. He's not even a wanted criminal, because none of the dimensions want him there, they want him to be another dimensions problem.
There's a Ford Hate Club that isn't for hating on all Fords, just this one. Most of it is made up of other Fords.
Canon Ford hates him for being a massive jerk, only for Jerk Ford to tell him that biggest difference between them really is that he chooses to not be a jerk to the one person who matters most to them (i.e their twin brother Stan). The one Ford who appreciates his Stan and it's the Biggest Jerk ever.
Jerk Ford is still a jerk to alternate versions of Stanley, too. It's literally just his own that he's not a jerk to.
Thirty years later when Stan fixes the portal and brings him back, everyone else in Gravity Falls is immediately mad at him for bringing him back, including Dipper and Mabel who dislike him as soon as the glamour of a 'cool space Grunkle' wears off. Although, Dipper already disliked Ford before he even met him because his research journals give advice on cryptids that seems helpful, but is actually the opposite. (Like saying people should definitely and exclusively use water on Gremloblins).
The only reason Dipper wanted to find The Author in this dimension is that he wants to punch him in the face for his trolling.
So when Ford comes out of the portal he doesn't try to punch Stan, in fact he goes in for a hug, only for Dipper to punch him instead as soon as he heard 'The Author of the Journals'.
Stan tries to convince Ford to be nice to Mabel and Dipper; Ford isn't necessarily nice to them, but he isn't as big of a jerk as he could have been, which is a lot for him. So he doesn't purposely tangle all of Mabels yarn, or kill off Dippers character in Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons.
Weirdmageddon still happens, but this time it's Dipper who destroys the snowglobe with the rift because he never wanted to be Fords apprentice, so he never knew what the rift was. He ended up breaking it on purpose because he got so sick of Fords shit that he wanted to break something Ford liked.
The reason they couldn't get the zodiac circle together during Weirdmageddon isn't because of Stan and Ford fighting, but because Ford couldn't stop being a jerk for two seconds and Robbie let go of his hand.
Weirdmageddon ends the same as it did in canon, with Stan sacrificing himself because of Fords metal plate, except this time Mabel and Dipper are even more frantic to bring their Grunkle Stan back, because they don't want him to be a blank slate that their Grunkle Ford would influence and possibly turn into another jerk (Which is something Jerk Ford actually wouldn't do, because he loves his brother for who he is).
Old Man McGucket himself personally funds The Stan O'War II expedition (not just the boat itself but stuff like the passports, paperwork, living expenses, ect.) just to keep Ford on the ocean, as far away from other people as possible.
And this is a sane Steve Jobs -esque Old Man McGucket who was never traumatized by the nightmare realm because of Ford. That's how much of a jerk this Ford is.
THE END... Go Home.
The Iliad is insane. Like batshit crazy. I'm only on book 4 so far. Its chaotic af

Sometimes I get an idea but it's half baked and I don't even?? Know what to do with it???
So anyway- Stanley Pines in kids show, explaining science in a way anyone could understand. He doesn't show his face, maybe, but as he passes on tv (maybe Tate loves watching him so Fiddleford puts him on while they work) Stanford recognises his voice.
Madeleine saw Claudia bag three bodies and called the U-Haul on eternity before she even figured out if her feelings were romantic, these lesbian vampires are INSANE and I LOVE THEM
When Claudia is being fitted for the yellow dress, Madeline remarks on Claudia physique and Claudia tells Madeline the food scarcity during the war made her body small. Something that would have been common during that period so Claudia's attitude immediately makes more sense. She's seen the horrors and that checks out. From that moment Madeline realises Claudia isn't a child and sees her as a malnourished young adult and acts accordingly by cracking a joke about sex
Before that, she thought Claudia was a weird rude child with a ugly french accent .Madeleine is the first human to begin to see Claudia for who she is. She's off by a couple of decades lol but it was probably really nice being regarded as the woman she is and not some mistake
Most of the vampires that know Claudia's age never truly treat her accordingly but this weird French woman that's seen people starved to death ...yeah of course the horrors of war made her body small. What hasn't the war taken ?
low on spoons and life stuff going on so heres a very fast doodle
ok not to be petty on main but i have a pet peeve in a lot of gf fanfic where they describe mullet stan as thin to get the point of him being malnourished across.
and i'm sorry but have you LOOKED at this guy 😭
people can be fat AND malnourished‼️‼️‼️ i'm so tired of the idea that your ribs have to be showing for your malnourishment to "count".
Spoilers for Catching fire of the Hunger games series, if u havent watched it dont read.
Rewatching the 2nd hunger games film, Catching Fire for the first time in a years here r my thoughts chronologically, & I've got a lot to say about this one:
- They actually show Katniss's PTSD, flashbacks and nightmares.
- Gale being a "nice guy", christ hes a an sh*tty
- watching them back to back, they recast the cat!!!
- Snow is a fabulous villain.
- CINNA 🥰
- Caeser Flickerman's banger theme tune!
- The camera's interview is so awkward
- Effie deserved Katniss snapping at her on the train
- Peeta acknowledging that he cant hold her to wot they did to survive in the games! Peeta's already way above Gale. Peeta king 👑 of communication.
- just asking each other their favourite colour is adorable
- The Mockingjay!
- Peeta offering to talk to make it easier for Katniss
- Peeta giving Thresh & Rue's families some of their winnings. Katniss's speech about Rue is beautiful, I'm sobbing
- I love district 11, f*ck the peace keepers!! That poor old man! Haymitch: Who's going to protect them!?
- Haymitch knows better than anyone that you never escape the games.
- Jennifer Lawrence is fabulous
- Haymitch cares about them so much, we love him.
- Katniss barely holding it together on the victory tour. She looked so horrified at the little girl saying she would volunteer just like Katniss did.
- Caeser Flickerman has no right to be so iconic.
- Peeta is amazing! I love him and Katniss
- Does Effie have to say Mahogany in every film?
- Peetas disgust at the Capitol compared to what people in the districts are going through.
- I love the politics of catching fire
- Seneca decided to stop breathing - Plutarch
- F*CK GALE!!!! SHE DOESNT HAVE TO LOVE U ROMANTICALLY FOR BOTH OF U TO SAVE UR FAMILIES!!!!! Gale's right about rebelling, but he isnt even trying to understand her trauma.
- I love the anti corporal punishment, pro riots/rebellion, f*ck the police message of catching fire
- Peeta without question helping to save Gale cos he's not selfish
- Prim being a great nurse!
- I don't think Katniss has ever had any romantic feeling for Gale, he's just her best friend at most, a lot of the time he's barely that, she would've thrown herself in front of that whip if it was anyone she remotely cared about.
- The trauma of all the victors. Haymitcch is right they're not winners, they're survivors. Nobody ever wins.
- Effie actually kinda realizing the games arent the honour shes been indoctrinated to think they are.
- Katniss didnt ghetto say goodbye to Prim 😭
- Finnick & Maggs!!! We love them.
- Finnick Odair 🥰

- PEETA! JOHNANNA!
- bye bye district 12
I love this film, for me, it's my favourite in the series.
the fact, that so many Christians and Christianity-influenced fans of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica see Homura as a villain honestly reveals a lot about what is wrong with the faith, media literacy and the general attitude towards mental illness.
On one hand you have aliens seemingly devoid of any moral system at all, acting purely out of self-interest while pretending to work towards some grand utilitarian goal the results of which will never be experienced by the people affected by the system they created. The Incubators literally rip souls out of children and turn them into a physical object, so that it can store more energy than it took to create it and explode, releasing all of it so that the aliens can then collect the surplus they're after. The psychological effects of that are shown to be equivalent to a perpetual psychotic breakdown shattering the personhood of the victim, dooming them to years of torment that cannot be escaped by any means other than being killed by a magical girl.
On the other hand you have a desperate struggle to protect a sweet lesbian bean girl too devoid of self-worth not to sacrificially throw herself away at the first occasion, time after time after time until it turns out that even a complete rewrite of the universe won't achieve anything permanent unless the Incubators are completely and utterly defeated for good. You have a drastic measure meant to prevent a reactionary takedown of Madoka's universe, taken right after experiencing the aforementioned breakdown.
And then you have imagery of a God and a Devil superimposed on top, contrasting the traits of the characters in a way that should have made it clear the symbolism isn't used in a standard Christian way at all.
But it doesn't matter, because there's so much more discourse on Homura being supposedly in the wrong and evil, accusing her of psychopathy while the actual low empathy villains are doing horrible things for reasons completely unrelated to lack of empathy anyway.
There's a lot of examples of bias, poor media literacy and broken discourse, but this one really bothers us a lot on a personal level and we don't even have a single fictive from the show
I hope that the upcoming movie manages to handle the mismatch between the actual politics of the franchise and its image, but honestly it's gonna be one hell of a job in this climate
