Will be boycotting but I can be sad about it.
Despite falling out of love with the MCU very quickly after endgame (I literally only watched. Like two of the films, hawkeye & FATWS after endgame) Iβve been looking forward to seeing more of Sam and the Captain America legacy. And instead of listening to literally anyoneβs protests and complaints marvel decided to change the character that no one wanted in the film, to a basically pointless character that people still donβt want in the film, all to keep the actress that people are protesting in the film?
Fuck you marvel frfr.
It really upsets me that Sam and Anthony finally get a movie to focus on and showcase them, but it's marred by Marvel's decision to put Sabra, a very anti-Palestinian character, in there.
I understand why people are calling for a boycott of it, but it's just upsetting, because Anthony and Sam deserved a good movie about them.
The chokehold 2012 Avengers tower fanfiction has on me is insane
People who hate Frodo Baggins are my enemy. "He didn't do anything and was useless"--yeah, okay, so what you're not understanding is that he was the sacrificial lamb. He endured physical, mental, and emotional torment that got worse and worse as his will broke. Everyone knew this. EVERYONE KNEW THIS. That's why everyone was devastated about it. Because Frodo was the most innocent among them, that was the entire point. He represented ordinary peaceful people being destroyed by the horrors of war. And as a hobbit he also represented some of the last vestiges of magic in what was basically a post magic apocalypse.
Frodo was basically an innocent puppy thrown into the Torment Nexus so that EVERYONE ELSE could maybe have a hope of surviving. And he did that willingly. HE DID IT OF HIS OWN FREE WILL, KNOWING IT WOULD RUIN HIM.
Frodo haters won't see the light of heaven
On the topic of Disney boycotts, Marvel's Captain America 4, titled Captain America: Brave New World (previously titled Captain America: New world order.)
Will be the MCU debut of the superhero, Sabra.
An Israeli superhero, sponsored by the Israeli government.
Sabra aka Ruth Bat-Seraph made her comics debut in 1981 working for what's basically the Israeli secret service.
The comic cover she first appeared in, The Incredible Hulk #256, depicts her blasting the Hulk as a dead Palestinian boy lays in the rubble.
With the caption: Power and Peril in the Promised Land!
The Palestinian boy, called Sahad who was depicted as an illiterate theif was stealing a watermelon from a fruit cart in Tel Aviv.
That Sabra sees as inhuman until the Hulk convinced her otherwise. "It had taken the Hulk to make her see this dead Arab boy as a human being."
Disgusting.
Doesn't even refer to him as Palestinian.
Sabra also shares the same name as the Sabra and Shalita Massacre in Lebanon.
A massacre that many agree Israel holds responsibility for allowing.
And yes, Sabra was created before this atrocity but that doesn't mean they aren't associated with each other years later. Especially with Israel's involvement.
See Israel who are also currently bombing Lebanon.
Marvel has stated they will go with a new appprach for Sabra.
But Marvel is owned by Disney. The same company who donated Israel 2 million dollars...yeah I'm sure you're gonna make her less like an Israeli propaganda machine.
An IDF soilder is not a hero, start there.
One of the funny things about LotR is that almost every people in it professes to disbelieve in the supernatural, but because they live in a fantasy world their baseline for "natural" is so jacked up. The Rohirrim are like, yeah, there's a wizard in this tower and ancient tradition that we have no reason to doubt says this mountain is full of ghosts, but walking trees? Short people? I don't think so. Galadriel is like, "Listen I heard you describe what I do as magic and look I just gotta clear some things up, okay." Gondorians are like, yeah, of course the Enemy has spectres of men who lived long ago and never died and can now fly above us and incapacitate us with just their voices. This is just a fact of life, okay? But shut up about this magic weed that makes comatose people better. That's an old wives' tale. Royalty? Press X to doubt.
The people group in Tolkien's work who seem most receptive to magic and least restricted by their own notions of what it can do actually seem to be the hobbits. And they use it to avoid meeting people they don't want to talk to

Cishet aspecs are queer.
Cishet aromantics are queer. Cishet asexuals are queer. Cishet aplatonics are queer. Cishet afamilials are queer. Cishet anattractionals are queer.
Aspecs are queer as hell and excluding them only isolates queer people from their community.

i love how buck is just the communist bugs bunny meme in relation to eddie over and over again.
eddie in 2x02: this is my son.
buck:
maddie in 3x11: you need to bring food when you're a guest in someone's house.
buck:
eddie in 5x13: this is what my breakdown looks like
buck:
the best thing? the best thing is that eddie loves it because he is just as bad lmao
buck is like "our son" and eddie is like "yeah, duh, you're in my will." buck is like "eddie's house is my house" and eddie's like "your name has been on the lease for years." buck is like "our breakdown" and eddie nods and agrees "yeah let me cry by your bedside while you're in a coma wishing WE were sharing a coma."
joey batey did not write "you're not a coward cause you cower; you're brave because they broke you, yet broken, still you breathe" (x) to be known as the toss a coin to your witcher guy
