the bare-shanked screech owl is a large owl species found in mountainous ranges of costa rica, panama, and a small portion of colombia. they feed primarily on large insects and small mammals such as shrews. these owls are surprisingly social and spend their lives in family-sized groups, even during breeding seasons. males and females have no differences in plumage, but the female’s call is higher-pitched.

okay, so we all know these guys…blue footed boobies! the clowns of the sea!
but theres many other gorgeous boobies!
the magnificent red footed booby!
a gorgeous bandit…the masked booby…
the nazca booby with their bright orange beaks!
the brown booby…stunning, elegant and surprisingly goth…
and last but not least the peruvian booby…they look like blue footed boobies had offspring with a kookaburra
