I'm a bit disappointed that Thomas's tattoo did not make an appearance in Chot...
Yessss MY NAME IN A BOOKš±š±ššš I'M SO GONNA LOVE HERššš
Here are the responses I got for the name of Henriās little sister! So all of the submissions are at the very top, and I made a word cloud. The bigger names are the ones that was submitted the most times. If the choice was made solely on how many people wanted it, then Annika Jaakoppi would win :)
P.S. I now understand why @partylikeawordstar was overwhelmed.Ā
So according to google Ben Lamb (The Christmas Prince) is 1,88m tall. Josh Whitehouse (The Knight Before Christmas) and Sam Palladio (The Princess Switch) are 1,88m tall as well! This leads me to the conclusion that a new prince in a new installment of the nccu must be 1,88m tall as well. Who could that be? Shawn Mendes (1,88m). In this essay I will....Ā
Maybe they really just went with the whole Easter vibe??
everyone hold my hand. NEOW. if bobby was actually dead why would be via man made rat disease. why would they not just let it leak, but post a fake script making light of the whole situation. why is oliver making light of bobby dying in his comments. why is tim saying āno bobbyās dead frā in his liar who lies voice. why is peter on set for 8x17. why would they kill him in a seemingly random episode instead of the end of the season. why was angela saying she doesnāt see an end of 911 where bobby and athena arenāt together. and also. this would just be shockingly bleak for the nobody dies show. if heās dead fr iāll eat my words but i swear i think bobby is literally fine.
Also consider that Alastair has a very dry/sarcastic/cynic sense of humour and that he tends to be a little bit dramatic. I would not expect Thomas to say that he's dying when he is "only" heavily injured because that just doesn't match his personality, but Alastair?
When, however, did Cassie share the snippet? Could it be something that belonged to another book/trilogy and was cut out?
okay so, do yāall remember that one thing that cassie shared with us, that death scene of one of the members of a shadowhunter chronicles gay couple? i donāt remember it word for word, but it goes something like this:
āfunny, all that trouble to convince me that you didnāt love me, and here i am, dying in your armsā
the person that is dying then proceeds to kiss each and every one of the others fingers, their last
hereās my theory: itās thomastair. thomas lightwood dying specifically
now iām sorry about this, but it makes sense.
hear me out:
1. thomastair still isnāt completely canon, and alastair is spending an awful lot of time trying to convince thomas he doesnāt love him, because he thinks thatās best for both of them
i know thatās flimsy evidence but keep reading
2. if you check the shadowhunters family tree, we see that the rest of the carstairs family are descendants of alastair. iāve seen a theory similar to this that says alastair dies, but if he does, thatās the end of the other side of the carstairs line aside from jem, and we all know alastair has to have descendants, because emma exists. it could be baby carstairs, but we donāt know that for sure
3. if you also check the family tree, it shows that thomas doesnāt end up with anyone officially. which means either he stayed single or heās dead. and considering alastair ended up with someone else, it is more likely that thomas is dead than with someone else.
4. finally, thomasās name is sort of foreshadowing in itself. heās named after thomas, the mundane that worked for the london institute during tessa will and jemās story. our past thomas died, and i think this foreshadowing might hint to our thomas dying
so, yeah just had to get that off my chest because it was causing me major anxiety.
feel free to prove me wrong! actually please prove me wrong i donāt want thomas to die :(
but please reference this post if iām right

I sometimes have a few issues with facial expressions, especially if there's no words being said. In that scene where Illya shocks Rudi for the first time he looks at Napoleon, but I can't tell if it's from Napoleon still having his hand on Rudi or from seeing how strong the electric was. Can you break down his expression for me, please?
I think itās open to many interpretations, but Iāll try to break down his facial expressions as I see them.
First, I think I need to consider where Illya is at mentally. Heās just been ābetrayedā by Gaby and his first priority is, not contacting his commanding officer and telling him the situation or trying to find the bomb, but finding Solo. Illya had been listening to the conversation between Gaby and her Uncle Rudi; he knows Uncle Rudi āneeds to make a telephone callā and thatās likely to tell Victoria that Solo is CIAāIllya knows Solo is in trouble and needs to get to Solo before itās too late (although from his perspective, it might already be too late, but heās going to try to save Solo anywayāwhich I think says a lot. Perhaps he felt he owed Solo since Solo had been in a similar situation of not knowing if he was still alive after the boat incident but Solo went to save him from drowning anyway?)
Letās assume that Solo is being held at the Vinciguerra shipping facility since that is most likely and the design of Rudiās lab matches the design of that facility. This gives Illya some advantage because heās already been there before and knows about the hidden button to get to the basement, however, the facility is heavily guarded.
Illya would have to find a way to sneak past, or probably fight off, all these guards to get to Solo. This is probably why, although Uncle Rudi and Illya were at the same location (Vinciguerraās Manor) when Gaby exposed them, that Uncle Rudi got to Solo before Illya. Ā So Illya has done all this work to find Solo although he has no way of knowing if Solo is dead or alive. Fortunately, Solo is still alive. Now hereās where itās a bit confusing for me, does Illya know that Solo was being tortured by electrocution? I donāt see how he cannot given that there are no other physical signs of torture. Solo is sweating, blood is streaming from his nose, and there are tears along his cheeks. Illya is also a skilled tech with proficiency in computer programming languages FACT and COBOL, so he would be able to recognize how the chair is wired up. Yet, after heās strapped Rudiās right hand, when he comes to the front of the chair, he looks curiously at the contraption with a foot pedal.
Although, perhaps heās merely looking for the on switch? Either way, heās startled when Rudi is electrocuted.
Interesting thing, though, is that he checks Soloās reaction, not Rudiās. Is this realization of how badly Solo was tortured? Or surprise that it is an electrocution device? (Which I donāt think makes sense, again because of his specialities⦠but he was also surprised to see an aircraft carrier⦠while flying over the ocean⦠which is also confusing but I guess you can argue that he didnāt expect the British Navy to get involved? I digress.)
Illyaās expression does change from surprise to this expression:
Heās looking more intensely at Solo. Perhaps this expression is deep concern over Soloās welfare. This realization of what this chair does, if you want to call it realization, is unsettling to him. Perhaps heās realizing how close Solo would have been to dying if he hadnāt gotten to him in time. Or perhaps he was worried heād injured Solo again because he hadnāt been paying attention to the fact that Solo was still touching the chair. In this angle, Solo is still touching the chair when Illya presses the pedal:
I think you can make a lot of arguments on what Illyaās reaction means, but either way, heās not happy. Once he knows what this chair will do to Rudi, heās quite keen to torture Rudi with it for information. The second time he presses the pedal itās in response to Uncle Rudi being willing to testify against anyone, even his own niece. The third time, heās taking his anger for Gaby betraying him (āItās not the sameā) out on Rudi simply for the sake of doing it, but the pedal doesnāt work that time, but he keeps jamming his foot on the pedal anyway until Solo tells him it has a glitch. Illya is clearly disgusted by what Rudi subjected Solo to and angry at Gaby for endangering Solo as well. Which is probably why he fights against believing Gaby didnāt betray them and learning that Gaby is a British spy working for Waverly (āYouāre wrong. [ā¦] Youāre wrong. I saw her betray us at Vinciguerra.ā) It takes Waverly telling him that he told Gaby to betray them for Illya to accept what had happened and forgive her. He realized she had no choice in the matter, that she had to obey Waverly, even if it meant possibly getting her teammates killed.
A difficult situation that Illya probably knows all too well.
In the end, he would have done exactly the same thing in her position.
