Jesus! There was nothing I could do, we’d sort have been flirting over the last couple of months. She’s new to the neighborhood and we’ve been randomly running into each other. I’ve always been outgoing and very friendly but I’ve never actually cheated. My wife is almost as flirty as I am and we’ve always had a great relationship. But there was something about this girl. The way she pierced me with her eyes when we spoke. Unbreaking, piercing eye contact. It shook me. I had to force myself not to wither whenever she grazed me with a touch. It was like standing on a ledge. I leaned into it to prove to myself I wasn’t scared. But I was terrified.
