i don't like it when i overthink situations that are simply platonic.

i thought about it. it seems as though the true difference between love and the second situation is the other person. yes, they might be the only true friend that you have. yes, you might have mistaken romantic love with platonic love. nonetheless, it is still considered love.

Whenever my mom, or any of my parents/grandparents ask me to do something I am embarrassed to do, such as taking a picture in front of a tourist spot, singing karaoke, etc., I remember a post I encountered. It speaks of the fact that my parents/grandparents are also living life for the first time. That they want me to experience things they might not have experienced during their youths, and that just stuck with me. They are allowed to be excited.
