Late UNO night 🦌🍎
Canon songs that would be altered in the RAMverse:
Stayed Gone – Obviously. The change could be as simple and Val and Velvette taking over Vox's part and the tone being less fun and more threatening, or something more complicated. They wouldn't be going on Vox's propaganda campaign though, they'd just be squaring up to fight before Al starts taunting them over the radio. Might just stay between them and Al, but it could be fun to give Vox a chance to sing too, probably with Alastor.
It Starts With Sorry – Pentious isn't immediately caught in RAM, so if ISWS happens, it's months down the line. Would probably change significantly, since he chooses to defect from the Vees and might be willingly coming clean to Charlie.
Respectless – Val gets a guest verse since he decided to actually show up to the meeting on the off chance Alastor decided to show his face. His part is somewhere in between "bigging up Velvette" and "just straight up threatening Husk."
Finale – Vox is still a part of the hotel crew and sings with them during their verses. Val and Vel might be celebrating Alastor's supposed defeat and preparing to go rescue Vox (until Alastor shows back up at the last minute), or their part might be more serious, like Al's monologue.
The throne compensates for the growth☝️
@voxaholic recommended me this song a few days ago and the lyrics are SUPER fitting, but I recently came up with something related specifically to the PV
1:02-1:10 : Alastor at the start of this AU. He's flicking through Vox's different heads and outfits from throughout the decades (the only option that's locked is Vox's human form), trying to assemble a version of Vox that's to his taste.
2:21-2:29 : Alastor after he realizes that he doesn't actually like the Vox he's created and tries to go back to the drawing board. However, as he flicks through the options, he discovers that everything is now locked.
2:30-2:37 : The interface starts corrupting. There are now no options, just Vox in his RAM look with a completely glitched out face.
"don't stop on my account"
This probably isn’t on Spotify, but I wanted to mention it anyway because it fit the vibe of this AU:
Eleanor Forte Lite - Video Killed The Radio Star (Cover) by Olivia Meower on YouTube
Aside from the lyrics being very fitting (just switch ‘video’ and ‘radio’) I am absolutely in LOVE with how Eleanor Forte eerily sings the song. It gives me the impression that Eleanor Forte murdered Hatsune Miku to steal her title of #1 Vocaloid.
At 2:03 - 2:12 when Eleanor Forte says “Hatsune Miku? Never heard of her. What is she, some kind of virus?” only adds to that theory. Especially love how the audio gets distorted and staticky from 3:17 - 3:37
The art that accompanies it is phenomenal! How Eleanor Forte stares dead-eyed at the camera is chilling. I especially like the fallen and beheaded Miku figurines in front of the TV (the fact that it’s a 50s style TV is the cherry on top). The entire video just gives me a sense of unease and mystery, like there’s a bigger, more horrific story lying underneath, just like this AU!!!
I can totally picture Alastor saying something like “Vox? Never heard of him. What is he, some kind of virus?”
Gave it a watch, it’s neat. Yes, I imagine Alastor gets immense satisfaction out of all the recent arrivals in Hell having no clue who Vox is and even some of the older sinners starting to forget about him. Condemning Vox to his former greatest fear, irrelevancy, is delicious for Al. For a while, Vox being so out-of-it that he doesn’t even register that he was once one of the most powerful overlords in Hell is delightful for Alastor, but as time goes on, he realizes that Vox being unable to understand the slight just renders it plain-old boring.
Should probably make a YouTube version of the playlist for those of you who don’t have Spotify…
