I’ll Never Get Tired Of You.

Everyone wants a piece of this pie. I never get tired of my morning commute, looking out toward the city watching hope and possibility bloom. New York City is the place where dreams spark and flourish, anything is possible. I feel grateful every day for being born and raised in the greatest city in the world. It is an honor to have lived here and continue to spend my life here. I embark on a new adventure every day and always stumble on something new. I love your culture, originality, traditions, art and honesty. I feel like the whole world is in the palm of my hands when I gaze out at you.

One of the most important and influential topics I hold near my heart, the right to exercise and read all literature freely. I find this to be one of the most valuable and crucial concerns effecting our society and most importantly the youth who are limited to these options. Books hold a special kind of power, and each person who reads that book takes something different from it. Books are not created to ‘harm’ you, but to teach, grow, cultivate, and empower you. The harmful trait is those who restrict the circulation of those books. I am so proud to say I have read some books that have been once deemed/or still may be seen as offensive. Knowledge and reading is one of the most powerful and rewarding experiences an individual can have. Read freely and expose yourself to the vast world of literature!

Jaws, 40 years on: ‘One of the truly great and lasting classics of American cinema’

The true meaning of Jaws has been picked over by critics and academics ever since its release in June 1975, and even its status as the first summer blockbuster has been questioned. But isn’t it just about a killer shark?

Jaws, the hit summer blockbuster during the mid-70s, also happens to be one of my favorite movies. As a child, I became fascinated with sharks, the ferocious ruler of the ocean. Jaws did more than just scare beach-goers. The visual effects and dynamic characters portrayed more than just a blockbuster hit, the movie portrayed so many different levels of interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. It has become an American classic, but the depth the movie dove into is what kept my love for it as if I first saw it. I still get goosebumps when certain scenes are about to happen. I truly believe that is what makes a movie fantastic and an instant classic.

Pennywise is finally making it to the big screen! This is by far one of the most thrilling, mystical, psychological, books I have ever read. It truly leaves an imprint on your heart. The ambitious nature of a child, paired with the love of friendship and innocence are just some of the few themes of this novel. It is beyond magical and takes you back to a place in your own childhood. Which then creates an extraordinary effect while you read the book because it is as if you were one of the misfits, and there is nothing more magical than that. I am ready for you, IT!
