The start of my anatomy study. This was definitely long overdue, but I figured i should give it a try now.

On August 31st, we went to Jacobsburg. When we waddled over to the bird area, we saw that a Fall Webworms nest had fallen out of the tree and onto the ground. There was some storms I think the day before and since the Fall Webworms lay their eggs and make their nest on the edge of branches in trees, it is a very likely thing to happen. I hope all the baby Fall Webworms survive.
Fall Webworms are considered pests and can sometimes even be confused as invasive species. Fall Webworms are actually native to North America. They can be found all over, even up to Canada and down to Mexico. Fall Webworms do not harm trees or plants. They are actually one of the most important pollinators for our trees and many other native plants. The only "harm" they do is cause cosmetic damages.
A female Fall Webworm will make her nest on the ends of branches, taking a few leaves into the nest. She will then lay her eggs in there. The baby Fall Webworms will eventually hatch into caterpillars and feed on the leaves inside the nest. As they get older and bigger and stronger, they will go deeper into the nest to eat the leaves inside.
Fall Webworms are a native species that is beneficial to North America.
did you know that hippos have red "sweat"?
alot of people's first thought is that the hippo is either bleeding or such but that's really not the case.
you see, hippos dont actually sweat. they dont have sweat glands. instead this discharge is being released from mucous glands.
this discharge acts as a kind of sunscreen for them, I mean, after all they do stand in direct sun for most of the day. the fluid is kinda like a skin moisturizer, water repellent, and antibiotic for them.
the fluid on the hippo appears red in full sunlight, but its actually a mixture of colours. the main pigments in this discharge is orange and red, and scientists actually have names for these coloured pigments.
the red pigement is called; "hipposudoric acid"
the orange pigment is called; "norhipposudoric acid"
the orange pigment will abodrb ultraviolet raditaion that is given off by the sun, while the red pigment acts as an antibody.
hippos skin is extremly sentisve to dying out and sunburn, so this oily discharges job is meant to help them with that.

first: amuseables sunflower
Price: $45 beans
My favorite thing about this specific one is that the flowers themselves have faces and not just the pot like many other flower amuseables. Although I do wish they kept the face for the pot as well, I mean what more than 4? I like how vibrant it looks and my other favorite part is the fuzzy dirt. I do not think I am a fan of the texture of fabric they used for the pot however or the inside of the flowers where the seeds are.
Rating: 4/10 squishies. It's a nice looking plush but it's really expensive, at least it is 11 inches though.
Next: glenny goat
Price: $45 beans
Glenny goat, you sophisticated goat you. There are so many details I enjoy about glenny, my favorites being his horns and hooves. His horns are knotted and twisted and turn similar to the how a thing of garlic looks as well as similar to a celtic knot. His hooves are also really well done, I am glad they did not just make their feets nubs. Glenny is also really tall, measuring at about 11 inches!
Rating: 9/10, glenny would make a lovely friend! My usual problem is the barrier of how expensive he is. It feels as if the jellies are meant to not make friends with a specific group of creatures due to how much they cost.
Next: horticus hare
Price: $32 beans
horticus and I are already friends although we have not physically met yet. What to say about horticus...hmm, well I could go on about the wondrous tea parties he has occasionally hosted and joined in the roseus system. Or how well done his back feet are to the point that he could jump so high he could grab a star. Or maybe the color of his sweet biscuit fur hat matches any dress or hat he chooses or the way his Oatmeal colored tummy fur matches his favorite food. Horitcus is alot of things I would say, but I think if I had to choose I would say he is enchanting.
Rating: 10/10, a well done hare. He's also 9 inches. Too expensive.
Next: bashful beige bunny backpack
Price: $75 beans
Once again, star system guide, we can all agree we love bashfuls but we also love bags. Taking the two things and putting them together is great. Not only can I carry a plushie in my arms but now I can carry another on my BACK!!?!?! not just that, the possibilities of what this bunny can hold are not endless but hopefully tis more than just a phone? I also love the rotund tummy on this one, on account of their tum being the actual bag storage. However, bag plushied are a fickle thing because the surgery it takes to make a bag plushie who no longer wants to be a bag into a plushie again is extensive, painful and very difficult. Putting a plushie through that is not fair
Rating: 8/10, so many beans!!
Next: Huddles duck
Price: $45 beans
to meet it feels like Huddles is a bashful holding a tiny friend or family memeber. Regardless, huddles seems to have the support he needs at all times as they are carrying another. Also they look bald. That's it.
Rating: 7/10 it reminds me of someone.... too expensive
Next: bashful luxe puppy Orlando
Price: $38 (medium)- $90 (huge)
There are many feelings I feel inside of me when I see this puppy but yet I cannot seem to place them into word form for the average human to understand. I will not regardless so instead I will tell of what I love about my dogine friend. Their soft golden puffy fur, the way they are sitting, the attitude thay exudes from their from ear to toes. The fact that they love to do doggy activites the same as i!
Rating: 10/10, need I say more when I've already said so much?
snail as old as slime
*the bag in question*
I have a bunch of pins on the front and my mallard keychain on the zipper
In the front pocket i keep my inhaler and inhaler chamber, my sunglasses, my mask and two stim toys: a squishy sugar malt ball and a keycap clicker
In the other pocket I have my medicine box, my wallet, my pouchie, and my trinket box
Inside my pouchie I have my earbuds, my lip balm and my key with my banana lip balm keychain and parks and forests tags
Inside my trinket box is a ring my mom got me for graduation, a shopkin, rainbow moonstone, a calico critter (Justin from the caramel dog family), a star and a dinosaur charm. This is a box that holds things I collect. I cycle through my things every month. This is just this months box is.
I also bring some things for bird identification. These are the current ones I carry.
I also have my headphones that I sometimes carry.
I also normally carry water and a snack. This is mostly what I keep in my bag and use on a daily basis.
