Queen Elizabeth II of Windensor
As a part of her South Africa tour, Princess Anne visited one of the local schools. The Princess talked about the needs of the school with the members of the administration.
She also presented children with some toys that they liked very much.
Princess Royal spends a significant amount of time visiting Save the Childrenβs projects, both overseas and in the UK. Most recently, she has travelled to South Africa. In addition to visiting teams around the world, Her Royal Highness regularly meets fundraisers and volunteers. She also attends and speaks at many of our special events.
Since 1970 (the year when Princess Anne became the President of Save the Children) the Princess Royalβs work with Save the Children has given her great insight into the needs of children worldwide.
Her Royal Highness says of her work:
βI am proud of my association with Save the Children, and I am honoured to succeed Her Majesty as its Patron. It is an organization that embodies a spirit of compassion, openness and excellence. Its values are an inspiration; its achievements, a source of hope for millions of children.β
