Cal Kestis Week: Thursday day 4

I have been going crazy hiding these for a few weeks and am excited to finally show them off.

Sorry for any emotional damage from a couple of them. Taking them was 😟

First pic, I altered my original using my sketchbook app and some art fussing. It came out better than I'd hoped! No mods on Xbox, just my imagination.

Anyone else noticed how Kaminoans like Nala Se and Taun We have soft voices like the gentle whispering of angels, whereas Lama Su's voice sounds like he's smoked 2 packs a day for the past 40 years???

The main reason why we need a second season of the Book of Boba Fett is so that we can see the conflict that arises when Boba finds out that his girlfriend killed the woman who raised him.

11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

NALA SE.

She is my FAVORITE female character in the whole franchise and I'm so proud that she is. I'm proud that she's a character others are so confident they understand and say terrible things with their whole chest, giving me a chance to see their whole ass.

Nala Se was introduced early in TCW. She was a medical doctor on a brand new medical station who refused to leave until everyone was evacuated. The frame pans to show injured Clone Troopers floating in bacta tanks, vulnerable and non-ambulatory; it will take great pains and time to get these men onto hospital ships. The people who begged her to leave weren't other Kaminoans or even Jedi; it was CLONES—Clones who valued her as someone who could provide medical care for their injured brothers.

I don't believe that Nala Se intended to let Fives be killed or come to harm. I also don't think she was in a good position. I have a number of theories about her actions. One of them that I really focus on is her interaction with Shaak Ti. My takeaway is that Jedi and Kaminoans were intentionally distrustful of each other—I think this was Lama Su and Palpatine's machinations. She kept trying to get Fives separately, and so did Shaak Ti. Both of them talked to each other in dehumanizing language, but I think that was both of them trying to talk how they thought the other expected them to talk. Both Shaak Ti and Nala Se had to look detached. I also don't think Nala Se trusted the Jedi. Kaminoans appear to be mostly culturally atheistic and find religion to be ridiculous. Nala Se was also in a good position to be manipulated to possibly hold the Jedi unfairly responsible for the treatment of the Clones.

I love the fact that she pretty much was Omega's mother. Omega was being raised as a Kaminoan child; she was dressed like one and even wore the headdress of an important young Kaminoan. Omega was thoroughly educated in Nala Se's craft and even knew where secret entrances were. Nala Se helped TBB escape and take Omega with them. She paid money to protect Omega. She sacrificed repeatedly FOR Omega. The woman was in a terrible position over and over again and tried to do right. Her people's soul was sold to the devil.

To be frank, Nala Se gets blamed for the fuckwad Lama Su's cruel and manipulative idiocy and Halle Burtoni's overall fuckery.

PS. I am not going to engage in bad-faith arguments or debates. Respect that I have a different opinion on her, or just don't say anything at all in my posts. I will just block people who try to start things on these posts.

I really like the symbolism too. Jaro's severed lightsaber is such an important motif throughout Fallen Order: shattered, repaired, broken, and rebuilt again. I love how it mirrors Cal's own journey, and only truly becomes his saber through the contributions of both Jaro and Cere.

Does anybody else ever just miss the Jedi Order?

Like I just want my kind and compassionate monk family back. Happy and healthy and thriving.

I want Jedi to Jedi interaction. Padawans with their Masters and cute little younglings with elder members of the Order. Them going on adventures in the Galaxy and spreading hope and love.

Cant believe that so far in canon we never get an Order like that back and it just breaks my heart.

My headcanon is that there is a special contingent of Archivists that always carry a Fragment of the Order's most basic and precious knowledge with them, tasked with protecting that knowledge with their lives should something happen to the Archives.

The moment the siege on the Temple started, these Archivists dipped on special, individual escape routes that only the Archivist themselves, the Battlemaster and the Head Archivist would know and they only return upon an all-clear from the Head Archivist personally.

Purshee was tasked with the protection of Form II, Makashi.

She survives the entirety of the Empire's reign and only returns to the New Republic several years after its foundation, technically breaking protocol by not waiting for the all-clear (which would never come). Only one other Archivist Keeper of Knowledge ever returns like she did and it is unclear whether that is because the others are still waiting for the signal or if they all were hunted down and killed.
