Percy: My mother was made Hades’s Prisoner
Jace: Mine killed herself after my fathers’s death, I never knew her and I was dug out of her corpse.
Percy: Well, we have the Mist
Jace: We have glamour AND runes
Percy: My eyes is a beautiful sea green
Jace: Mine is gold and I’m naturally blond.
Percy: I almost got killed a million times in my series and I came out of Tartarus.
Jace: Big deal, I actually died and the Angel Raziel raised me back from the dead.
Percy: I have a movie.
Jace: So do I, and I have a Neflix series though the actor is not as stunningly attractive as I am.
Percy: I was betrayed by my so called good friend, Luke.
Jace: My adoptive father and brother are the villan of my series and I not only thought Valentine was my real father but I was also connected to Sebastian.
Percy: Ugh....I give up, I challenge you to a sword fight.
*Jace lights up a Seraph Blade and twists it expertly, flipping his hair
Percy: Umm, nevermind.
stan that character. point out other character's flaws because sure, they exist but WHY do you guys create a full blown fandom war because you can't agree if elain should end up with az or lucian or if az should end up with az or gwyn. are you sarah j maas? no. can you control who she decides to ship? no. for all you know elain can end up single.
You can talk about what you think's foreshadowing, but attacking the other group isn't neccessary.
same thing for the authors.
"oh but we need to hold the author accountable"
it's a book not real life. accountable my ass. Do you want to hold authors accountable for only writing about demons from one level of hell and say that they have lack of representation because yk, other levels exist too and diversity matters?
"but then we'll never get represented"
you're reading a fucking book. you ain't supposed to look like that herione that magically gets magical powers. I'm asian and I don't get represented in books. do i care? no. do i feel neglected by society and the publishing industry? no. I just fucking read.
for gods sake you're not children trading insults anymore
take a deep breath. drink some water. get some fucking air. or read some brainless rom com. can we stop already?
some of you guys are very weird for actively hating on fictional characters. go spend your time talking about characters you do like instead?
Am I the only person who noticed how-
1) Serpent and Dove was published on 2019/9/2
2) Heir of Fire was published on 2014/9/2
-> In both books there's a freakin witch named Manon (which I LOVE in ToG but hate in SaD)
I legit don't know what to think about this.
do you blame shakespeare for any of it? i blame him for all of it.
We all loved Maven at some point

is that as problematic as she is, her writing touches me. I'll be reading acotar or hoeab or tog and then there's these moments where I truly feel the writing. I can connect with what sjm have written, I can connect with what Feyre, Nesta, Aelin is feeling. And she describes it in a way where I read a sentence and what I am feeling or have felt is described perfectly. And there's these sudden bursts of emotions because it's not because she wrote she's sad or she's mad, but she shows how conflicted the character feels, how helpless, how afraid these characters feel, in a way that made me realize that I'm not alone in my feelings and that others have felt what I have felt too. This is why I fell in love with her writing, with her characters. And if she's problematic, then so be it, but I'm not going to stop reading her books because I believe that the book and the author are seperate things and just because you hate the author, doesn't mean you have to hate the characters too. And even if she racist or homophobic, I still thank her for writing these books, for helping me realize that it's going to be okay through her writing.
*minor spoilers*

“It’s not fair to the both of us.” Tears. Those were tears streaming down her face. “It’s been a century. Beron would never know. It’s for your own good too,” he continued. Oh practical, practical Helion. So different from the male she’s gotten to know. A part of her wants to fall to her knees and beg him for his forgiveness, to stay, and tell him that she was so, so, sorry. But Beron’s cruel face, and the faces of her beautiful children, flashed before her eyes. “Please.” She didn’t know what… or whom she was begging for. She grabbed his arm, one hand lifting up to touch his face, only for him to shake her off. “You have to let me go. Someone will see us.” “I love you.” She choked out. But Helion was already gone. And somehow, she knew this was not another one of their fights, where they’ll make up and slip away in the middle of the night. There will be no more secret touches, inside jokes whispered against her skin. No more glances across the room and arms brushing against each other on the dance floor. There will be no more of Helion Spellcleaver, the only male she has ever truly loved, and who showed her what it meant to be loved.

Chapter Five
It was about as close to winnowing as chopping off one’s hand was to clipping a hangnail. The black noise dissipated gradually, and Feyre found herself hunched on the ground, gasping and trembling and doing her best not to vomit onto the gleaming marble biting into her knees and palms. She heard Nesta nearby in much the same condition.
Their ragged breaths echoed off the glossy smooth walls and floors and pillars, all just planes of white in her periphery as she drew her focus inward. On not being sick. On staying whole. The jasmine-scented breeze helped, cooling her face and calming her stomach. An eternity later, the shaking stopped. Her battering pulse slowed, and her vision cleared. As Feyre finally lifted her face to take in their surroundings, she nearly cried.
The Moonstone Palace. They’d made it.
