The most interesting thing about Ash and Yut-Lung's relationship to me is the potential that never got realized and the regrets that may come from that.
They were so alike and could have helped each other but that didn't happen. Instead Yut-Lung teamed up with Dino and tried to ruin Ash's life out of petty jealousy. And I have a lot of sympathy for Yut-Lung and I know why he logically would choose to side with an already established powerful person if he wanted his brothers out of the way, and I know how his bitterness toward Ash and Eiji comes from how hurt he's been in the past. But he still did those things and kept going after Ash despite how he'd done basically nothing to him.
And the thing is that Yut-Lung gets to survive. He has Sing who cares about him and wants him to do better. And I wonder if in the future, when he's older and a potentially more sensitive person, if he has regrets. Does he think about how he could've had someone else who would understand him and maybe even care about him? Does he regret burning that bridge before he even noticed it was there?
Simply put, so much could have happened but none of it did and that's the tragedy of it all.
Rb because I just made (fake) stained glass of the red bill cipher window and ngl that's the best picture ive seen of it
it just now dawned on me that all Those Windows in the mystery shack are not some clever background design choices, or funny haha easter eggs, or visual puns, or chekhov's guns
that is a house Ford in-universe canonically built with his own hands.
he. he made those.

"Those weren't people, Ash," Eiji says. His voice is quiet, but dark. "Those were monsters. They're not like you and I. They have no compassion or morals. Anyone who would do that to a child, to you? They are not human." Ash wants to scream. At Eiji's naïveté, at the world. At a world that's hurt him in so many ways, so many times. At a world that has people—yes, people—people like Dino and Foxx and Marvin and Kippard and his coach and so many forgotten names, so many cruel people in it. Because regardless of what Eiji thinks, those were people. They were all people. Eiji just doesn't understand quite what evils people are capable of.
A discussion of humanity.
This was exactly what I wanted, thank you
When do you guys think Ash and Eiji actually fell for each other?
well 🧍♀️ as a reminder this blog is NOT a safe space for trump supporters but it IS a safe place for women, queers, trans ppl, people of color, undocumented people, and any marginalized group.
And then his reaction was "give me a bullet"
Thinking about the early days of Robotnik and Stone... They're both orphans with a dislike of humanity and a fascination with machines of mass destruction, so I wonder if they ever talked about their personal lives and private traumas.
...Probably not. But maybe they came close?
The "F" took so long to draw, and so did the "I". Worth it though! This is one of my favorite pieces I've done reccently.
