rewatching the hobbit trilogy after lotr rewatch and I cannot explain how much I love Bilbo Baggins he is one of my favorite characters of all time and his characterization and performance in the movies is the main reason i have any sort of fondness for them in hindsight.
the amount of which i love bilbo is only matched by how badly i would beat that racist rat martin freeman with a baseball bat in the streets ON SIGHT
Itβs just funny to me that when Bobby gives Buck advice, itβs generally works out for Buck. Heβs better for it. But whenever Bobby gives Eddie advice, the universe just tries to explode Eddie.
i love how buck is just the communist bugs bunny meme in relation to eddie over and over again.
eddie in 2x02: this is my son.
buck:
maddie in 3x11: you need to bring food when you're a guest in someone's house.
buck:
eddie in 5x13: this is what my breakdown looks like
buck:
the best thing? the best thing is that eddie loves it because he is just as bad lmao
buck is like "our son" and eddie is like "yeah, duh, you're in my will." buck is like "eddie's house is my house" and eddie's like "your name has been on the lease for years." buck is like "our breakdown" and eddie nods and agrees "yeah let me cry by your bedside while you're in a coma wishing WE were sharing a coma."
Honestly, with all the tradwife cooking trash circulating, it only makes me love B Dylan Hollis more for baking vintage recipes while being openly gay, making sexual jokes, and screaming at the ingredients. He's the antithesis of every soft-spoken cishet woman cooking for her husband and children. You don't have to be an idyllic cottagecore housewife to cook.
The chokehold 2012 Avengers tower fanfiction has on me is insane
Little miss Captain Israel, local Zionist and Mossad spy that kills Palestinains, is getting her film debut with an Israeli Zionist actress! Nobody cheered!
Boycott Captain America: Brave New World when it comes out π
Will be boycotting but I can be sad about it.
Despite falling out of love with the MCU very quickly after endgame (I literally only watched. Like two of the films, hawkeye & FATWS after endgame) Iβve been looking forward to seeing more of Sam and the Captain America legacy. And instead of listening to literally anyoneβs protests and complaints marvel decided to change the character that no one wanted in the film, to a basically pointless character that people still donβt want in the film, all to keep the actress that people are protesting in the film?
Fuck you marvel frfr.
It really upsets me that Sam and Anthony finally get a movie to focus on and showcase them, but it's marred by Marvel's decision to put Sabra, a very anti-Palestinian character, in there.
I understand why people are calling for a boycott of it, but it's just upsetting, because Anthony and Sam deserved a good movie about them.
god this scene i havenβt written would be so emotional if it came with 50k words of context i also havenβt written

In ~these times~ it is important for queer people to be reminded of what "coming out" originally meant. "Coming out" did not mean telling all of your co-workers something super stigmatized and vulnerable about you, wearing your queer status on your sleeve in public, informing the police or government institutions about your sexuality, or even telling your parents. "Coming out" meant venturing out into the queer community; being among other queers as a queer yourself.
Coming out isn't about telling the entire world when doing so is not safe for you, it's not about arming your enemies with information they could use against you. No, coming out is about making a fulfilling queer life possible for yourself through participation in the queer community. It is about escaping the restrictions and dangers of the cisgender heterosexual world by rooting oneself more deeply into the queer one.
And you can always do that. No matter how oppressed we are. No matter how much the culture shifts and policies are enacted to terrorize us. We are always able to be ourselves when we are amongst each other. And living our queerness has always been a collective social project, not just a matter of personal exposure.
This blog was created for loving and appreciating the character of Sam Wilson.
And while for years, we have been anticipating the next time we'll get to see Anthony Mackie on screen, playing our favourite character, and proving to everyone how he IS Captain America, this is a reminder that Captain America: Brave New World has been directly called out by the BDS movement (a nearly 20 year old movement created by Palestinians), and we have been asked to boycott it in its entirety.
A zionist settler has been cast. Disney itself has donated $2 million to Israeli relief groups.
it is incredibly saddening that we won't be able to watch one of our favourite's character's long awaited film, but our interest and love for this character, and for superheroes/comics/movies as a whole, are no where near more important then standing up alongside Palestinians, and doing all we can to help them and to listen to their requests.
Join me in boycotting the film. Pirate it if you must.
