Dreibird - Flight Enthusiast

For all of it’s macabre feeding habits, the Loggerhead shrike’s song is surprisingly sweet. I’ve been admiring this species for quite some time and I was so thrilled to finally chance upon one in the wild!

Eurasian treecreeper/trädkrypare. Värmland, Sweden (January 16, 2022). 

Another favourite of this year, the oystercatcher who likes to be at the lake in the middle of the city. I wonder if he likes to be alone, because there are no other oystercatchers around. During the winter he has to be wary of gulls who try to steal his catch.
