Reminder for anyone suffering from any illness, physical or mental: you did not choose this. Yet, you are doing your best to manage it. You are dealing with it every single day and only you know what is like to feel the way you do. So don't let anyone invalidate your pain, call you lazy, dramatic, attention-seeking, weak. You are none of those things. You are strong and brave for coping with your illness, for trying to get better, for surviving it. Even on days when you only manage to make it through, you have faced so much, you have been so brave. No one can take that strength away from you. Remember that you are stronger than this illness.

I want to talk about how this scene is extremely underrated - or rather, the fact this conversation even happened is underrated.
While we know Twilight already planned to tell Yor that Nightfall was absolutely not going to take her place, I don't think he planned to open up to her about his mother - his real one, not one he made up for the Loid Forger role. Twilight, in this moment, felt comfortable enough to share real information about himself with Yor.
I feel like people treat this scene as him just making Yor feel better when it shows so much more.
Twilight probably hasn't talked about his mother in at least a decade. The only people to maybe know and have heard what happened are Handler and Franky, but even they probably have no idea.
This sort of character development is absolutely flooring when you dive into how Twilight normally is. It's like seeing a genuine smile from him - which he only does around Yor.
And to add onto this, Twilight doesn't seem to purposefully remember his past very often. We've only seen flashbacks during times of stress. Yet, he comfortably recalls his mother when talking to Yor.
This scene does a tremendous job of showing Loid's/Twilight's trust (and blooming adoration) in Yor. And, I just love that 💕

Get you a man who doesn't question your bizarre, superhuman strength in the least, but instead simply says "Wow," as he watches you kick a man into the ceiling.
