I mean, there is one line that is suspect in a modern context, but 'say, what's in this drink' was a far more innocuous phrase before roofies were invented and became an actual thing to be concerned about. I'm actually really glad they did the scene like this, because I think it's important that people see how awkward and unnatural it is for a couple who clearly adore each other and want to express affection to act like this, and realize how important it is to work towards making schools more safe and accepting so that kids like Kurt and Blaine can feel safe enough to just kiss.

how i design trolls

yesterday there was a bit of talk about body type variation in how people draw the trolls on my dash! it made me think of how i approach drawing the trolls, and boy do i think about that a lot, haha. 

it’s taken me a while to come up with my solid “headcanon” for the trolls shapes/faces, but now that i kind of have it down, i have trouble drawing them any other way. 

my “shtick” for drawing trolls is that i base their entire design around their symbol/shape of the horns/zodiac/personality. in animation there are several visual stereotypes for different types of characters, and i basically just utilized these to create a cast of stylized characters that have variety but look like they could all belong to the same universe (and actually the 12 trolls are all related in some way so there are some shared traits between them.)

ANYWAYS, i am going to share with you my design rationale for each of the trolls. i wouldnt say so much this is “body type headcanon” and more like “character design pitches” haha. i haven’t tried to make every character like something wildly disparate from how fandom at large draws them— for a reason! certain stereotypes exist for a reason, because they are easily recognizable and relatable to the audience.
