funny animals animal read the tags oddly enough this is from a debate I had today over what creature would be most likely to become the 'superior' species and form a society like ours the only qualifications were that the species could not be human or human-like (so no apes or monkeys or anything like that) also dinosaurs were still wiped out and no fantasy creatures I argued that for a species to succeed the same way humanity did it would have to a) be a persistence predator and b) throw with accuracy (or reasonably be able to evolve those two traits) elephants were ruled out pretty quickly. Though they have the brain for it I highly doubt elephants could logically evolve into predators gerbils were brought up I said they were too focused on fucking to rule the world my friend said that Catholics were pretty close to gerbils reproduction-wise hence the beautiful quote “Are we assuming Gerbil Catholicism here? Was there a Gerbil Jesus?” I am still at a conclusion that there isn't another non-ape/monkey type of creature that could rise the way we did
