Role swap Shizun LBH this, Role swap disciple SY that, No!
Role swap where young (teen) lbh just dies and ends up transmigrating into one of the kids SY tutors (I feeling he would) from his class
I feel like this could have already been said because it just seems so obvious but I haven't found any post like this.
What if Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu just swapped.
We know that Shen Jiu had a terrible qi deviation that lead to him essentially dying. This is what aloud Shen Yuan's soul to replace him. Though couldn't that technically mean that the same could have happened for Shen Jiu but with Shen Yuan's body.
Just a thought.
Desperately in need a fic where Shen Yuan wakes up back in his old body/world to find that PIDW has changed. Like, everything that happened to him and that he changed, altered the web novel. Even better if it's a family member that tells him about it.
SY's sister: I finally read that web novel that you were ranting about
Fresh out of the hospital SY: Huh?
SY's sister: Yeah, Proud Immortal Demon Way
SY: Oh... what did you think? It's terrible right?
SY's sister: I actually liked it, not too found of the teacher student dynamic but it works. Though I'm surprised you would read a BL...
SY realizing that his life got turned into a public book: what?
SY's sister: I did think that the whole "papapa to save the world" trope at the end was ridiculous though
SY realizing that his first time was written down and open for public viewing:
Edit: I was going to write a fiction about this but ao3 took way too long to approve my account. Anyway, I don't have motivation anymore :/
I love fics that send Shen Yuan back to his world but I really want to see more angst on the initial "waking up". Like, imagine if you just spent 15 or so years of your life in another world. You were actually happy, you had friends (unlike in your past life), got over your emotional intimacy problems and found love; just for everything to stop, be gone. I know this happens to some people who were in comas, but i think it would be a little different because it was actually real.
I was listening to Girl Anachronism (great song btw) and just had the very vivid scene of Shen Yuan going through a bit of a mental break after "coming back to life". He's been living in a different time and different world. How would he even readjust to the modern world?
Anyway, here's a sketch of how I think he would be feeling :3
You can tell
From the glass on the floor
And the strings that're breaking
And I keep on breaking more
And it looks like I am shaking
But it's just the temperature
And then again
If it were any colder I could disengage
If I were any older I could act my age
But I don't think that you'd believe me
It's not the way
I'm meant to be
It's just the way
The operation made me
I desperately want to read SVSSS fic where Shen Yuan wakes up in hospital, maybe after some kind of point loss or system outage.
Turns out he was only very briefly dead, and he was found by a neighbour (or something) before he could choke all the way to death.
His family are bemused - their hikikomori son/brother nearly died, and he's woken up a straight spined scholar of the arts with a strangely commanding presence.
Shen Yuan is aching for everyone he's lost, for his martial brothers, for Luo Binghe... He can't understand what's happened. A vivid dream? A dying hallucination? A vision of some kind of afterlife?
At first, he can't bear to look on the forums, or reread any part of PIDW, it all just feels too close. He asks to go recover at a countryside estate, and his family indulge him.
He comes back a month later, and logs on, to find out that the forums are absolutely on fire over a deeply intense, highly cringe LBH rper who is Very OOC and looking for "Shizun", and an inbox 562 direct messages from Airplane.
Had an idea for a video game reverse transmigration AU so here goes:
Thereâs a popular online cultivation game called Proud Immortal Demon Way thatâs been making the rounds recently due to a new encounter players might run into that was unlike anything theyâd ever experienced in other games.
In this encounter, the atmosphere would dim out of nowhere and from a distance, a boss character would start approaching them. Suddenly, their character would be grabbed out of nowhere by the incredibly handsome and imposing figure with red and black robes, a black sword and a full mane of hair. The man would look at their character before dropping it while clicking his tongue, usually saying something like, âAnother empty huskâŚâ before turning to the playerâs screen and staring at them for a few moments. Even if the player tried to attack the boss character, it would ignore the attacks, hardly gaining any damage at all.
Then the character would furrow their brows and turn away. âYouâre not the one.â he would say, and he would leave through a portal made with his sword.
The encounter happened only once per account, and the only hint that it was about to happen was a small voice calling out âShizun?â from off-screen.
One day while Shen Yuan, under his somewhat popular streaming name PeerlessCucumber, was grinding enemies before a big raid, he heard the iconic and long-awaited âShizun?â.
Rather than run away or attack like most players did, Shen Yuan was excited to finally, FINALLY get to see this legendarily unbeatable and good-looking NPC for himself and happily ran up, chattering happily to his viewers as he wanted to show them what usually happened when one encountered this particular boss.
The boss started his usual routine, picking the player character up and tossing it aside with an annoyed mumble before turning to the screenâ no, to Shen Yuan.
His head tilted then and thatâ that wasnât part of the routine.
A somewhat unsettling smile made its way onto the characterâs face as he approached the screen, seemingly getting closer to Shen Yuan.
âFound you, Shizun.â he said.
That was the last time anyone saw the boss in-game. There was a video clip roaming around of PeerlessCucumberâs facecam, where an arm reached from off-screen into his room, strangely from about where the manâs screen should have been.
Then the stream cut and PeerlessCucumber hadnât streamed for over a year.
When he came back, however, he introduced his new husband, Luo Binghe to his viewers. His new husband looked strangely familiar to anyone who'd played Proud Immortal Demon Way.
If anyone feels like expanding on the fic feel free, this brainworm was stuck in my head and I have too much homework to write anything longer than this đ
