The reason shark attacks are always only ever one bite is because sharks don't like the taste of humans. Sharks have terrible vision and so they will often bite humans thinking they are sea turtles but then realise aren't and spit them back out like “bleugh, this isn't what i ordered’’ hence why most people survive shark attacks with only a limb missing.
fun fact, did you know that sharks existed before the North Star even formed? they also existed before TREES!

shout out to goblin sharks and their weird ass jaws! Goblin sharks have a special trait called a “slingshot jaw” where they snap their jaws forward to capture prey. their mouths can extend to up to 110 degrees wide, and shoot out at about 3.1 meters per second!
