Reminder for anyone suffering from any illness, physical or mental: you did not choose this. Yet, you are doing your best to manage it. You are dealing with it every single day and only you know what is like to feel the way you do. So don't let anyone invalidate your pain, call you lazy, dramatic, attention-seeking, weak. You are none of those things. You are strong and brave for coping with your illness, for trying to get better, for surviving it. Even on days when you only manage to make it through, you have faced so much, you have been so brave. No one can take that strength away from you. Remember that you are stronger than this illness.

Me now: I can only read fanfiction and comic books. I can't even reread my favourite books. Actually starting a new book? Not happening. Reading is still my favourite activity but I can't do it. I am physically incapable of reading more than ten pages. I had to google how to spell twelfth. My favourite books are all over 1000 pages send help.
