Blue Whale
"We must feel lucky to be sharing the world with the biggest animal that ever existed."
Not even the biggest dinosaur is a match for the size of the Blue Whale, the largest animal that ever existed on earth. The largest-ever registered was 33 meters. It is the biggest size the animal can reach in order to function correctly. A fifth subspecies could be a population that inhabits the coasts of Chile. A group with unique vocalization and notable genetic differences.
I must say that whales are fascinating. I still find it hard to wrap the size of this animal. I hope one day I could see one of them. Today is protected because it was heavily hunted almost to its extinction. In 1966, its hunt was banned by the International Whaling Commission. ___________________________

Nubian Wild Ass Equus africanus africanus Family: Equidae Status and Conservation: Critically Endangered
This animal, resembling the Somali Wild Ass, lacks leg stripes but features a distinctive stripe along its back.
Once thought extinct in the wild since the 1970s,. DNA studies on a feral population in the Caribbean island of Bonaire, though originating from Africa, revealed nearly pure Actual Nubian Wild Ass DNA. ____________________________ Thank you for being here. Mongolian Wild Ass Equus hemionus hemionus Family: Equidae Genus: Equus Subspecies: 04 Status and Conservation: Near ThreatenedHad fun doing this one. I actually love to do horses or relatives. Somehow the skin came up smoothly and I love the colors of them and how they came up in the drawing. Enjoyed from beginning to end. ____________________________

Indian Elephant Elephas maximus indicus Family: Elephantidae Status and Conservation: Endangered
There are several notable distinctions between Asian Elephants and African Elephants. Firstly, Asian Elephants have significantly smaller ears than their African counterparts. Additionally, Asian Elephants have a pointed head shape, while African Elephants have a flatter head. In terms of size, Asian Elephants are considerably smaller. Furthermore, Asian Elephants have a long history of domestication... Kabonabi Tapir
This Tapir is relatively new discovered. Although The ex-president Roosevelt shoot one in 1914 and named as a new species, the scientific Marc G. M. Van Roosmalen discredited in 2000, Until it was named as a new species in 2013.
However, the aboriginals that inhabit the Amazon knew that they coexisted with two different species of Tapirs, the Amazon Tapir and the Kabonabi Tapir. This was principally due to the difference in coloration and size. In Brazil, the Kabonabi’s tapir is called danta pretinho, which means Little Black Tapir.
Its status is unknown but is believed to be vulnerable.

Suidae Family
This is a big family!! The big Suidae family proves how well pigs are adapted to live in this world. With almost 20 extant species alive and about 50 subspecies, being the hog the most spread pig from all the family. Still, its closest relatives, the peccaries don’t belong to the Suidae family.
I found them amazing. They are not the most glamorous but they have their own charm.
Palawan Bearded Pig
Until recently, it was considered a subspecies of the Bornean bearded pig (Sus barbatus), but at least under the phylogenetic species concept, it must be classified as a separate species. For its treatment under other (and more widely used) species concepts, more study is required, but the presently available information seems to argue for full species status in any case.

Celebes warty pig or Sulawesi pig
Although a number of subspecies have been recognized, they were disregard after further studies. Today, the Celebes Warty Pig is regarded as a monotypic taxon. This pig is the only species that has been domesticated apart from the Wild Boar. The fact that is being semi-domesticated may have change its appearance.

Kerguelen Islands Commerson’s Dolphin
This subspecies was discovered in the 1950s. They own its name because they live close to the Kerguelen Islands south of the Indian Ocean. Actually, I just found the scientific name so I am not sure if that is the name of the animal. From what I read, they live close to the coast and prefer shallow waters. There are substantial physical differences between the two. This subspecies is larger but also its color patterns are different. The dark areas aren’t black but gray and the white area is more like light gray. Also, the demarcation between areas is more diffuse. In 2004 a vagrant individual (which is the name for an animal that is found out of its normal range) was found on the coasts of South Africa but no other sight has been notified.
