Atlas Wild Ass Equus africanus atlanticus Family: Equidae Genus: Equus Status and Conservation: Extinct
I find it astonishing that an animal I once considered common has become extinct. Donkeys are typically perceived as ubiquitous due to their widespread presence, but in reality, some species and subspecies within this group are now critically endangered or have already disappeared... To know more about them and get access to the full body illustration, join the club here. 3$ per month. ____________________________
See you next week. If you like the content, leave me some love. Reblogs are also loved. This blog is becoming the most complete source of mammals. Chao!
The Indian Javan Rhinoceros was often mistaken for the Greater one-horned Rhinoceros due to their coexistence in the 19th century. This can't happen to you. Join the club Here to learn more about animals. By the way, this is the only existing illustration of this animal.
The next pages of the book are ready! Now talking about the Black Rhinoceros and its subspecies. Considering joining the club to be part of this amazing project. All Mammals of the World illustrated, included its subspecies which makes it unique.
If you feel that this speaks to you check out the club options by clicking here. Giving a like and sharing this post is also very helpful. Thanks all for the attention and see you soon.
The last member of the Giraffe family and to my eyes the most beautiful! I must say that when I saw it at the zoo the first time, it didn't strike me as much as now when I draw it. Is clearly the head of a giraffe in the body of a prehistoric animal adorned with the stripes of a zebra running down its legs. If you think of it, is like coming from a fantasy book. Okapi It is a living fossil and contrary to its closest relative, the giraffe, which is mostly found in the savannas, the okapis live in the dense forests of the Congo. It is very elusive and timid making it a really hard specimen to study in the wild. Therefore little is known about it. The poster of the Giraffidae family is coming soon! ___________________________________ Photo Credits: Magda Ehlers ___________________________________

Day eighteen of posting my photography 📷
Just a VERY sunny day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on one of my uni trips! This ‘lil lemur was chilling and absorbing any and all heat early in the morning.
Day thirteen of posting my photography! 📷
(I may have forgotten this afternoon)
So I went to Peak Wildlife Park the other day. I wasn’t expecting the polar bears but they were a nice surprise when we got there!
I made a little deer friend which let me stroke its head and in return it gave me a muddy hand 🥰
The polar bears! There was a mother and her two cubs, although those two year old boys were the same size as her, and are expected to double in size by the time they’re fully grown.
They were very playful and were jumping all over each other in the water and throwing their floaty toys around. Mum was out in the back hut, snuggling down in the warm bedding which I thought was very sensible on that very cold day.
The arctic foxes were super cute!!
Very fluffy and active, they were wandering all over their enclosure shouting at each other. Very pretty animals!
Just a cute couple of birds that were eagerly watching the meerkats being fed mealworms.
The meerkats!
One of the keepers was doing a keeper for the day experience with a couple of guests and were feeding them mealworms. One of the meerkats decided that the lady’s fluffy and comfy hood was the perfect lookout spot!
The lemurs! This guy’s seen some stuff… 💀
It was a walk through enclosure, so the lemurs weren’t afraid to wander around people which was nice!
Oh and as always the penguins were super photogenic!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my piccies!
