The concept of ‘Show, Don’t Tell’ is a writing technique to convey drama to the readers or viewers of a book or movie. This is a scene from The Greatest Showman and in it, PT Barnum the kid, is singing A Million Dreams. If you look at the picture, I’m the right side, people are working in an office and on the left, there’s a cemetery. Without using words, the showrunners have painted a picture of what millions of us do from generation to generation.

Each of us have dreams and goals in this life and whether or not we recognize it, time moves fast and before you know it, 60 years of your life has passed. Those hopes, dreams and aspirations and the time to accomplish them are pretty much gone. The bottom line is this: if you have goals, act on them NOW. You may think you have enough time but the time is going by at an exceptional pace and before you know it, it’ll be gone and all those dreams and goals go up in smoke and disappear.

Procrastination can be something that can hurt us while we’re waiting for things to happen OR you can take life by the balls and make it happen. If you do the latter, you’ll be able to see those million dreams come to fruition.

Life is strange, like, REALLY strange sometimes, lol. One minute you’re seven, playing on the playground and then you blink. Suddenly, you’re 40 and wondering where the hell did the last 35 years go!!!! During those fast 35 years or so, we’ve met people along the way to help guide us, mold us and help shape us into the adults that we currently are. One thing we mustn’t forget though, never lose your childlike wonder and curiosity, just like #Alice here. True, curiosity is what got her into a lot of trouble but she also found out some things about herself that I’m sure she didn’t know before.

The same can be said for us here on Earth instead of in Wonderland. People who tend to drop in on us for a short while are usually there to teach us things that we can use as tools on our journey in life. If we’re smart, we keep listening and stay alert to signals and signs that danger is near or we need to call for help in certain situations. Other times, we can just go with the flow and enjoy it. Whatever the case, hold onto that curious part of you. That part of you that still remembers that seven year old mischievous kid on the playground before the world got to them.

Dive right in. Don't think about what could go wrong or even what could go right.
